Manga fans everywhere, you’re in for a treat. IKEA has launched CHARLOTTA, a collection of fabrics it had commissioned Åsa Ekström to design on the theme “Japan meets Scandinavia”. At the age of 13, Åsa Ekström decided to become a “mangaka”, a cartoonist inspired by the Japanese way of creating comic-strip drawings (manga). On the IKEA CHARLOTTA Vild fabric and cushions, Åsa explains that the city is a fictitious mix of well-known buildings in Scandinavia among which Godzilla stands.
